| Louisiana is growing. Dramatically. And with an environment that fosters innovative thinking, it's no wonder. Louisiana earns more than $160 million in annual funding from the National Institutes of Health, with 70% of this funding, for areas including infectious diseases, peptide research and gene therapy, derived from institutions in the Greater New Orleans area. While $160 million is significant, the area is capable of much more. Given the quality and quantity of work produced, it's clear that developing a greater economic impact is just a matter of tapping the entire potential of the funding |
